Today’s lenders and borrowers face a myriad of challenges, including restrictions on foreign banks lending to companies in certain jurisdictions, distressed debt and increasing complexity of financial services regulation across the world. With most financing transactions that involve global companies requiring execution in more than one jurisdiction, and local law requirements posing challenges that can significantly affect deal value, it is crucial that their lawyers can navigate them through this complex environment. Baker McKenzie is exceptionally well positioned to do this.

Baker McKenzie has grown from the grass roots up, with established, local expertise in both financial centers and key emerging markets. Our people know their markets and how to operate effectively in them to deliver value to our clients, among whom we include the world’s leading financial institutions as well as major multinationals in the energy, mining & infrastructure industry, the industrials, manufacturing and transport industry and the technology, media and telecommunications industry.
