Dr. Eric Buis is a partner and head of the banking & finance practice at Zurich-based boutique Buis Bürgi AG.

His representative matters include serving as custodian to one of Switzerland’s largest real estate investors—overseeing a corporate reorganization and advising in a multi-billion-franc foundation dispute—and acting on the creditors’ committee for the Swiss entity of Lehman Brothers. Also, Eric heads the team appealing against the write-down of the AT1 bonds issued by Credit Suisse (with a 16 billion issuance volume) on behalf of dozens of investors.
